This morning Key Stage 2 had a visit from Children’s Laureate, Joseph Coelho. Joseph shared extracts of some of his fabulous poems and stories. As a group they looked at how to write poetry, talking about various features such as alliteration, similes, metaphors, personification and onomatopoeia. The session ended with a question and answer session. Joseph surprised the children by gifting them each a book which he then signed for each pupil.
