FOOD WASTE CHALLENGE!
Eco Schools NI are running a food waste competition.
St John's Eco Team are calling all families to take part to help reinforce our important message of recycling.
All you have to do is show how you recycle food waste at home. This could be through using a compost bin/ compost pit that you have made yourself. We will also be learning all about the importance of recycling food waste at school.
The Eco Team have an exciting project ahead where they will be making a 'key hole' garden as a base for our school food waste to be deposited. (Lets hope we have a good weather miracle very soon )
Share a fun #waste hero photo on social media @Eco schools NI (facebook) or if you prefer- send your pics into school and give them to the Eco Committee.
Dress up, be a super hero or slam dunk your food into compost bin. Be creative and have fun!
Be in with a chance to win money for our school whilst doing your bit for the environment
Closing date for the competition is 9th March.
